The Southern Solar offices are buzzing with excitement as we have received word that we have been nominated for aMicropower Award. We're proud to say that we've been nominated in the Connecting Communties category for our work with community energy cooperatives and transition groups over the last year and for our pioneering work on community-owned solar photovoltaic systems and social housing projects. On top of this, our MD, Howard Johns, has been nominated as Microgen Champion of the Year for his work leading both Southern Solar and also the industry as Solar Trade Association director and spokesperson for the Cut Don't Killcampaign that successfully forced government to take the solar industry into account when implementing its cuts to the Feed-in Tariff earlier in the year. The awards ceremony is to take place on Wednesday 10th October.
