Looking to Save Money in 2014? Install Solar Panels, says Which?

Consumer watchdog Which has advocated installing solar panels as a key way to save money in 2014, alongside a list of other measures published prior to the new year.

Identifying energy as one of the main drains on consumers wallets and a top concern for the coming year, Which suggested measures including insulation, draught-proofing and installing a water meter as well as fitting PV.

Which member David Metcalf installed solar panels and subsequently earned £1,200 a year in payments from his energy firm (FITs) for the energy his panels generated.
