The Callery Family
Hook Norton, Oxfordshire, November 2010
Overview
The Callery family have always had an interest in being green and had been thinking about installing solar for a while; so when the Low Carbon Hook Norton group in Oxfordshire gained access to an interest free loan to pay for energy saving measures in their homes they decided to take advantage of the scheme. Southern Solar offered the LCHN group a discount due to multiple systems being installed - making the financial side even more attractive.
The LCHN group, have been raising awareness of energy saving measures and acting as a support to families looking to take advantage of the Feed-in Tariff. The group had already done a lot of the leg work and chosen solar companies they were happy with so the family didn't have to worry about comparing quotes and seeing different companies.
Our Solution
The Callerys had a 2.16kWp solar electric system installed on their home in November 2010, along with a 20 tube Thermomax Solar Hot Water System.
Thanks to the Feed-in Tariff they will have paid the system off within 12 years and continue to receive payments for 25.
Our Client Said
"Since having the system Mrs Callery has become an avid fan of recording her solar outputs and has a very neat 'green cupboard' which she shows off to all her friends and neighbours."
