In November 2012, Enid called us after seeing an article about Southern Solar in a Soil Association newsletter. She told us how she believes it’s good to be self-sufficient, by growing her own veg, and being economical with her energy use. Enid opted for SunPower panels, SunPower started way back in 1986, even before we did in 2002! They have products in Arizona that are still working at 30 years old. They expect a 40 to 45 year lifespan on their panels and use a very different technology to other Solar PV module manufacturers, its called 'back contact' technology, it means each solar cell has the ability to convert more light to electricity than your run of the mill solar panels. All this has been independently verified too.
