Jewel & Esk College
Edinburgh, Scotland, February 2013
Overview
In February 2013 Southern Solar partnered with SSE to deliver a 627kWp ground mount array within a short deadline despite being brought into the project at a late stage.
Southern Solar was responsible for delivering the installation of the mounting for the
627kWp site.
Our installation of mounting and panels was delivered within ten days despite poor weather and bad ground conditions. A ground screw framing system was used for this installation. As the largest system to date in Scotland, the array received considerable
publicity when it was fully commissioned.
Our client said
“...It's also a fine example of how industry and education can work well together. This project will bring benefits to the college, its students and the wider community as well as further strengthening Scotland's renewable energy resources.”
